Thai sprinter Puripol Boonson has successfully advanced to the men’s 100m semi-finals at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games. Competing at the Mizuho Park Athletic Stadium in Japan, Boonson secured his place by winning his qualifying heat with an impressive time of 9.95 seconds.
In the women’s 100m category, Jirapat Khanonta also progressed to the semi-finals after achieving a personal-best time of 11.45 seconds in her heat. Joining her in the semi-finals is fellow Thai athlete Sukanda Petraksa, who finished third in her heat with a time of 11.54 seconds.
The semi-finals for the women’s 100m are set to take place on September 25, with the men’s semi-finals following later the same day. These achievements mark a strong showing for Thailand’s sprinters at the Asian Games, highlighting their competitive presence on the regional athletic stage.
