Vietnamese Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng recently concluded a significant three-day visit to Russia, aimed at bolstering bilateral ties and participating in the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit, which celebrates 35 years of relations between ASEAN and Russia. During his visit, the prime minister engaged in a series of high-level meetings and activities designed to strengthen cooperation across various sectors.
While in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng attended pivotal summit sessions and business forums. He also held discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin and other regional leaders, focusing on enhancing collaboration in areas such as investment, energy, trade, technology, and industrial development. These discussions underscored a mutual commitment to advancing shared economic interests.
The Vietnamese delegation took the opportunity to connect with key Russian organizations and businesses, facilitating the signing of several cooperation agreements. Additionally, they marked the inauguration of new direct flight routes between Vietnam and Russia, a move expected to further cement economic and cultural ties between the two nations.
The visit highlighted Vietnam’s dedication to reinforcing the ASEAN-Russia Strategic Partnership and furthering the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Russia. Both countries expressed a shared resolve to implement strategies that deepen cooperation, aiming for significant results in essential sectors that will drive long-term economic growth and development.
