The Vietnamese rescue team demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication, recovering 57 victims and delivering 5.6 tonnes of relief supplies. In addition to these efforts, they administered medical care to over 130 Venezuelan residents and contributed financial assistance to communities hit by the disaster. Their efforts earned them the prestigious Hero of Venezuela Medal, underscoring the impact of their mission and the importance of international collaboration in times of crisis.

Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng emphasized the need for Vietnam to enhance its rescue operations by investing in modern equipment and specialized training. He also stressed the importance of improving coordination and forging stronger international partnerships to ensure effective responses to humanitarian emergencies worldwide. By strengthening these capabilities, Vietnam aims to play a more significant role in global disaster relief efforts.

Recognizing the dedication of personnel involved in such missions, the Prime Minister called for increased support and acknowledgment for those undertaking overseas humanitarian tasks. This initiative is not only about enhancing Vietnam’s operational capabilities but also about ensuring that the individuals who participate in these challenging missions receive the support and recognition they deserve.

Vietnam’s commitment to expanding its role in international rescue and relief operations comes as a response to the growing frequency and severity of natural disasters globally. By building a professional and elite rescue force, the country seeks to contribute more effectively to global humanitarian efforts, reinforcing its standing in the international community as a reliable partner in crisis situations.
