Vietnam and Russia are set to enhance their cooperation in the fields of human resource training and scientific research, as part of broader efforts to fortify bilateral relations. This development was discussed during talks held in Hanoi on October 7 between Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Chairman of the Commission for Policy and Strategy of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, and a visiting Russian delegation.

The discussions centered on leveraging Russia’s expertise in high technology to align with Vietnam’s development goals, with both nations eyeing collaborative opportunities in research and training. Human resource development was identified as a critical area for sustained cooperation, with plans to strengthen ties between educational and training institutions and to facilitate increased exchanges among experts.

Furthermore, the conversation highlighted the potential for joint initiatives in engineering training and research. Both countries recognized the importance of science and technology, innovation, energy, and the oil and gas sectors as areas ripe for expanded collaboration.

This meeting reflects a mutual commitment by Vietnam and Russia to deepen exchanges and foster more substantive partnerships in education, technology, and strategic research. The dialogue underscores an ongoing effort to harness each country’s strengths and address shared development challenges.
