Starting July 1, 2026, anime enthusiasts visiting the “NARUTO&BORUTO Shinobi-Zato” attraction at Nijigen no Mori on Awaji Island will benefit from a new travel convenience: a direct bus ticket package from Kyoto. This new offering combines a round-trip highway bus service from Kyoto Station to Awaji I.C. with admission to the anime park, designed to streamline the day-trip experience for visitors, both local and international, by eliminating the need for transfers.
The highway bus journey, which takes around 90 minutes, promises passengers scenic views of bridges and the sea en route to the island. Once there, visitors can use their included admission ticket to explore major attractions like the “Heaven’s Scroll (Ten no Maki)” three-dimensional maze and the “Earth Scroll (Chi no Maki)” mission rally.
The direct bus service is available on weekdays, with exceptions during major holiday periods, ensuring a serene travel experience. Adult tickets are priced at 8,200 yen, while children’s tickets cost 4,250 yen, both inclusive of taxes. Tickets can be purchased online, though travelers will need to exchange them at the Kyoto Bus Ticket Center prior to boarding.
The “NARUTO&BORUTO Shinobi-Zato” park offers a rich immersion into the beloved ninja anime universe, featuring recreations of the Hidden Leaf Village, character exhibits, and interactive activities that engage fans in a vibrant, thematic environment. Located within Nijigen no Mori, the park is part of a broader initiative to blend Japanese anime culture with outdoor entertainment.
Awaji Island’s Nijigen no Mori is celebrated for its attractions inspired by iconic Japanese entertainment franchises, providing interactive experiences set against a natural backdrop. The introduction of the direct bus service from Kyoto is expected to enhance accessibility for anime fans and tourists, making it a desirable summer destination in Japan.
